Chocolate Shortbread Squares
Serving Size: 48 Servings
Time to Make: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup margarine, softened
¾ cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped in chunks
How to Prepare:

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy.

Beat in egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually beat in flour.

Stir in 1 cup chocolate.

Press onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or just until top is light brown.

Immediately sprinkle with remaining chocolate.

Let stand for 5 minutes until chocolate is shiny; spread evenly.

Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Cut into squares and serve.
